A wart is a small fleshy bump on the skin which contains mucus. It is a rough texture which appears anywhere on the skin, most of the times it gives an appearance of a solid blister. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main cause for warts, HPV is a virus which affects skin area and results in the formation of warts. The types of warts differ from each other depending on which part of the body they are located as do their appearance. The black dots in the warts are blood vessels which can also lead to bleeding. Warts can clear up without treatment but there is no definite time period. They can go away in a couple of weeks or can take several years.
Some common symptoms of warts include bump on the skin which is fleshy and rough to touch, bumps containing black pinpoints which are blood vessels. Warts are more common in childhood as compared to adults. Warts can occur in any body part including genitals. Commonly, warts can be removed by natural remedies but in some cases such as warts on genital areas should not be treated with home remedies. The skin in your genital area is very delicate and natural remedies can cause damage to it, you must consult a doctor in case you want to remove a genital wart. For other cases natural remedies can do the work, some of the natural remedies for removing the warts are given below.
I. Use Essential oil
Essential oil such as tea tree oil can help in removing warts. Tea tree oil contains antimicrobial and exfoliating properties which can help to remove warts. Some studies have shown that applying tea tree oil for 11-12 days can help in removing warts. You can easily get tea tree oil from a supermarket or online stores.
II. Salicylic acid
Salicylic acid can be used as a treatment for removing warts as it contains beta hydroxy acid that can help in exfoliating the skin layers and can help in removing the wart. Salicylic acid can be found in most of the daily used products such as shampoos and aspirin. Before applying salicylic acid you should soak your skin in water for 5-6 minutes, after soaking your skin inside water just use the salicylic acid and apply duct tape over it. Removing duct tape after a few minutes can result in the removal of warts.
III. Nail polish
Some people believe that applying nail polish to the skin area can reduce the oxygen content and result in the death of the skin cells. Applying nail paint in the area of the wart and removing it after 10-15 minutes can result in the removal of warts. Applying the nail polish to the skin is not considered as a very good idea but it can provide result in some cases.
IV. Duct tape
Applying duct tape on the area where the wart is located can help in its removal, however, this method is not considered to be very idle. It is believed that applying and removing duct tape on the affected area regularly can help in removing warts. All you have to do is apply duct tape on the affected area and remove it after 5-6 minutes, repeat the process 4-5 times a day and you may see the results.
V. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is a very popular remedy when it comes to curing skin diseases. Apple cider vinegar contains malic and tartaric acid, both these acids can help in dissolving the mole. The process of removing a wart with help of apple cider vinegar is very easy, all you have to do is take a clean cotton ball dip it inside apple cider vinegar and put it in the area affected with help of a bandage. Keep it for 6-7 hours and remove it, repeat the process for a week and you will get the desired result.
VI. Herbal plants
Certain natural herbs can help in the removal of warts such as Echinacea and Ficus carica. Echinacea which is also known as purple coneflower can be taken as an oral supplement to help to remove the wart. The carica plant can also help in removing warts, the latex of a fig tree can help in reducing the incidence of warts. Garlic can also be used to remove warts, the studies say that garlic ointment can help in reducing the incidence of warts.
VII. Boosting the immune system
It is very necessary to boost your immune system as warts are a particular kind of virus which can affect our immune system and may lead to an increase in a number of warts. The immune system can be kept strong by eating a healthy diet which includes fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Including exercise as a part of your daily routine can also help in boosting your immune system. All these steps can help to boost up your immune system, just remember to take proper rest and sleep.
VIII. Orange peel
Orange peel can help in removing warts. Rubbing the orange peel on the affected area can make the wart turn darken and dryer when the orange peel is rubbed on wart the natural chemicals in orange peel help to ripe it and in the process, it becomes darkened. Using orange peel for two weeks will help the wart to dry and fall off.
IX. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera can also be used to remove warts. All you have to do is take Aloe Vera in a cotton ball and apply directly to the wart. The medicinal properties of Aloe Vera will help the skin to exfoliate and remove the wart. Applying Aloe Vera for two weeks will get the desired result.
